Moon Set where the Sun Did

And I am here

Crass music from a distant phone

A faint horn from the street

Two pale guavas on the left

I pick up the bottle and sip from it

I stare at you, do you feel it?

Mind attempts to grab on a memory

One flash.. among many;

You know the one, only that matters.

It is a cliff;

On the cliff, she gazes into

Moon sets where the sun did

She feels a calm like never before

Shimmers in the water reflect

Like a bed of mercury

On her left is rest of the sea

She sees it meeting the hills on the right

A palm silhouette makes her appreciate the absence of light.

Grass in her hands, long breaths in her lungs

I feel that wave

The view zooms out

Fifty meters away, his back to her back

Music blasting

Long, thick locks

She feels him, over every shoulder

Not too far, yet too afar

Grass between her fingers, shimmers in the water

As moon plays with the smoke

She gazes inside,

Darkness between shimmers, or

Shimmers between darkness?

Oh how and, but they dissolve as the sun peaks

The shimmering darkness was it?

The palm is green, now

The sea is blue.

Another spell is broken

The sun calls out, over her shoulder

Did she catch that moment of twilight?

Many boats sail, as her eyes rotate

Her face to the sun, her behind to the sails

On her right,

She stares into him, as he stares into the sun

Awareness follows the calm

Did light fetch some?

The flash cuts through,

The flashes spiral through,

Jump from end to the start

Till only that remains, the end and the start.

The cliff, grass in her hands, the shimmering darkness

Their faces into the sun, his arms against her arms.

I could not tell when

And, if she came back.

Her wolf is guarding, by her side ?

For, she is there, as I am here.
